Calidus Resources Limited are a gold exploration and development company who operates the Warrawoona Gold Project located near Marble Bar in the East Pilbara district of Western Australia.
After a short operational pause, exciting changes are underway as we embrace new management and look to ramp our Warrawoona project back up to full production by February 2025.
With a bright future ahead, the Warrawoona Gold Project is expected to have a mine life of initially 5 – 7 years with significant potential to further resources within the region. About the role
As we look to ramp back up into production, we are pleased to announce an exciting change in how we approach dining at Warrawoona. To continue delivering a more personalised and quality dining experience, we are now employing our own Chefs directly.

This role is a permanent opportunity on a 15 days on, 13 days off roster, FIFO from Perth.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Create a healthy and balanced weekly menu for Warrawoona Camp occupants utilising seasonal products and available ingredients
- Responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen. The ability to work well under pressure without sacrificing food quality.
- Produce consistently high standards of food ensuring consistent high quality and presentation.
- Preparing and cooking breakfast and dinner for up to 100 people on a daily basis ensuring to provide adaptive menu changing daily and meet a range of dietary requirements. Interact with management and Warrawoona Camp occupants to address any concerns or special requests.
- Utilise a range of kitchen appliances, ovens, grills to prepare meals.
- Maintain and encourage the highest level of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen, mess and food stores in accordance with Australian Standards (including temperature checks, stock rotation etc)
- Ensure that cleaning and sanitising are completed as specified in procedures
- Management of product storage and deliveries
- Assist in maintaining kitchen appliances in a safe working order, reporting any items requiring maintenance
- Maintain adequate supplies of food, water & gas for Warrawoona Camp occupants
- Complete weekly stock takes of Warrawoona food consumables
- Maintain financial compliance through the raising of purchase requisitions for kitchen/utilities following the purchase requisition system
- Ensure that food production falls within site food budgets and share updated reports with Facilities Superintendent. Improve budget costs, ensuring quality is maintained
About you
We are seeking applications from experienced culinary professionals who have:
- Proven work experience as a Chef (at least 5 years post apprenticeship)
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
