In June 2023 Calidus entered into an agreement with Haoma Mining NL (Haoma) to create a 60:40 profit sharing joint venture covering any Haoma tenements in the East Pilbara (1,135km2).
These tenements host numerous known high-grade deposits including Bamboo Creek, Comet, Blue Bar, Mickeys Find and Normay as well as numerous stockpiles.
Calidus aims to the unlock value of the high-grade regional deposits that are within trucking distance of the Warrawoona mill, require minimal upfront capital expenditure and are located on granted Mining Leases.
Blue Bar – 22km from Warrawoona
Calidus executed a Binding Profit Share agreement with Haoma and approved the development of Blue Bar in December 2023, with delivery of high-grade or to the Warrawoona mill scheduled for early CY2024. Blue Bar hosts an JORC Mineral Resource of 300kt @ 1.87g/t Au for 18,000 ounces.
Blue Bar has significant exploration upside down-plunge and in a recently discovered parallel system.
Bamboo Creek – 60km from Warrawoona
Bamboo Creek is a historic mining centre that produced over 220,000 ounces at 8.7g/t Au. Within the Bamboo Creek mining centre, Calidus aims to commence mining at the Bulletin deposit in CY2024. Bulletin was previously mined by Haoma in 2004 as a starter pit and has the majority of approvals in place, allowing Calidus to immediately begin planning to incorporate it into the Warrawoona Gold Project mining schedule.
In October 2023 Calidus announced a maiden Mineral Resource of 832kt at 4.1g/t Au for 111,000 ounces. The Bulletin Mineral Resource is completely open at depth, having only been drilled to 100m below surface and potentially extends along strike to the east.
