Central Core Deposits to Calidus East Pilbara Operations
The Warrawoona Gold Project:
The Warrawoona Gold Project (Warrawoona) is located in the East Pilbara district of the Pilbara Goldfield of Western Australia, approximately 150km southeast of Port Hedland and approximately 25km southeast of Marble Bar.
Calidus has consolidated the majority of significant gold deposits in the East Pilbara and now holds a dominant landholding of 1,153km2. The Warrawoona Gold Project hosts combined Mineral Reserves of 297koz at 1.8g/t Au and Mineral Resources of 1.34Moz at 1.1g/t Au.
The Warrawoona syncline is one of the largest greenstone-hosted goldfields in the East Pilbara, Western Australia. The currently explored gold deposits are composed of quartz lodes within three main regional shear zones: the Klondyke shear zone, the Copenhagen shear zone and the Fielding’s Find shear zone.
The sub-vertical shear zones present impressive networks of quartz/calcite/sulphide/ankerite veins and are locally lined with heavily brecciated fuchsite sericite-pyrite bearing mafic rocks. Visible gold is often observed in quartz veins throughout the mineralised package.
Klondyke Open-Pit
The Klondyke single open-pit underpins the next three years of mine life at the Warrawoona Gold Project, with grade control drilling on the eastern extent of the open-pit to convert additional resources into reserves.
Calidus will start production from Q1 CY2024 from high-grade regional deposits within the Haoma Mining NL Joint Venture (60% CAI | Haoma Mining 40%) [link to Haoma JV tab] to provide high-grade ore supply to Warrawoona, supplementing material from the Klondyke open-pit. Haoma Joint Venture regional deposits are high-grade, require minimal upfront capital expenditure and are located on granted Mining Leases.
Klondyke Underground
Calidus aims to establish the Klondyke Underground (UG) in FY2026, targeting the high-grade potion of the Klondyke UG orebody below the open-pit.
Processing Plant
Calidus has built a state of the art 2.4mtpa CIL processing plant at Warrawoona that has excellent recoveries at a very low cost base. The size of the mill allows flexibility in blends to maximise cashflows as satellite deposits are developed.
